CLASSES
Anita White, rug hooking instructor, has been hooking for ten years
and has created hundreds of hooked mats and rugs. Anita is a McGown
certified rug hooking instructor. She teaches classes at the Greenwood
Mercantile as well as at her home in Overland Park, KS and various camps
and workshops around the country. She has been teaching for seven years
and specializes in wide-cut, primitive antique-style rugs.
Anita
can help you learn to create your own future heirlooms. Classes are

SUPPLIES
At the Greenwood Mercantile you will find a wide assortment of wools,
patterns and supplies for rug hookers. Hand-dyed wool in a rainbow of
colors and textures awaits you.
THE
ART OF RUG HOOKING
The art of rug hooking was practiced by our New England ancestors who
created simplistic rugs which are prized by today's collectors. Designs
inspired by everyday life were prevalent. Animal, geometric and simple
floral designs were common.
